As a fellow 19 years old and mouse user I can relate to what you're feeling, but I'm getting a tablet soon though. Anyways, this is awesome. It must've taken a heck of a long time as my pantings do.

You don't need a tablet really, you're doing amazing stuff without one! There are cheaper tablets around too, which might be more in your price range, I know I can't afford a wacom.

For some reason I'm finding the girl a little weird looking. When I try to figure out what it is, I fail miserably, but there is something there. Perhaps her chin is too small? Maybe she isn't rendered with as much texture as the guy? I'm not sure.

However, I absolutely love the guy *gush*. One thing I noticed- which is really hard to pull off- is that he has weight. Yep, he looks like his body mass is being affected by gravity. Lol. His clothes are awesome- I especially love the details in his belts. I really love when artists add details like that. The expression on his face is excellent and the pose is great. I think the only thing that got me about the guy was that I was sitting there trying to work how how his sword was holstered- then I realized 'Duh! He's a telekinetic!' Perhaps some special effects of some description might help with this.

If this were a poster and only had the guy- I would so totally plaster it to my wall. Lol. Nomura is an excellent artist- a huge inspiration to me too- but hell, I think he's got some competition heading his way!

i don't exactly agree with the complaints of 'the girl chin problem' or the final fantasy-esque resemblence. i think this is very professionally executed.

I dont know if I like the white shirt, it seems stiff to me...all along the arm. Kinda like you startched it and hes having trouble putting it on.

I really like the girl in this one far better then in the other one, she has more life to her I think.

I like your work and Im a huge Final Fantasy fan and 8 was my fave so I like this one best.

Well, I see one (possible) thing wrong with this, The background kind of bleeds through your characters. Unless you meant it to be over top of them, in which case, it's dead on. I love this stuff and I've added you to my fave artists. 4/5

ok, no critique, but i'm a newbie to this whole deal. I'm thirteen, but have been studying the character renders, etc. of computer games like final fantasy for a year or so. Although i was crushed to find out that these drawings were computer generated, i remain an aspiring videogame creator. so, i just need to know how you can do these sort of things without working for a major company. and, go easy on ME, i've only been taking art classes for three years...
