Oh dear, the Squall comments are back. Lol This is awesome work! I knew I put you in my favs list for a reason. Your time has been well spent, and I hope that you're enormously proud of this piece! Lighting, clothes, atmosphere, colour, perspective and the dynamic angle are all great. My two nitpicks would be that the lighting on his face is slightly inconsistent with his clothing and hand (holding the sword) and I think Andrea's head is a little small and flat on top? These are minor points though. You've done a superb job with the background- wish I'd hurry up and get to the stage you're at now! I know I gave you a +9 on your last piece, and you've done significantly better here, but I'm going to give you another +9. I just know I'm going to kick myself if I give you a +10 now, as it's clear that you're improving in jumps. ^_^ Keep up the great work! +9

Really nice. Nice to see these actually drawing like images since most of the artists try to achieve realistic touch in their drawings. There's something wrong with his eyes and hair though. Are the eyes over his hair or something? Well...looks funny but since the overall image is so nice it doesn't really matter. Good job!

Thanks so much guys!!! the reason i did the eyes with the transparent hair, is because the hair was going to block out areas of the eyes that needed to appear. i needed all of the white in the eyes and all the iris in to be effective. i tried untransparent hair, but it wasnt very successfull and looked wrong. ill experiment more to make such things look better in future.

.. Well done. This is the look I'm going for these days, and you're very good at it. Consider your back patted. . I have minor issues with the handling of the face, and the guy's wrist, but I am inspired. . I have questions. Is the background a modified photograph? I'm unsure. towards the bottoms it doesn't look lie, so I'm unsure. The girl's face is elegantly rendered.... something off about the lighting on her shirt though. . I can't wait to get my own pc, and give you a run for your money.

Harris-Ejaz: nope, the sky had to be rendered from scratch, no reference used. i just for about 10min studied the formation of clouds, so i had an idea how they form and what the principles were. as for her top, it was rendered also without reference, so not everythings gana be perfect. im still trying to develop my rendering skills so that i can pull off things better still without reference.

Drinker: thanks! heres a breakdown of what i used reference for. ok, i needed reference for: his shirt, his black top, his jeans(excluding the red straps and buckle) skin for both characters, and thats it. otherwise things like the backround, hair, the rest of Andrea, Rui's sword, his scarf and belts didnt require any reference.
